Students

INVO is an innovation hub for student inventors and entrepreneurs. Get started by learning about our resources, programming and support for students.

Inventions and intellectual property

Like Northwestern faculty, all students are governed by Northwestern’s Copyright and Patent and Invention policies.

  • If the invention has been created as the result of Northwestern space or collaboration with a Northwestern faculty member it will need to be disclosed.
  • If not, you can petition to formally release University intellectual property rights to you.
