Cassy joined the InQbation team in March 2024 as the Lab Administrator. Her background spans from managing a high-complexity start-up diagnostic laboratories to performing and overseeing molecular biology research projects within a research lab at Feinberg School of Medicine. Her experiences at the COVID-19 laboratory includes pioneering novel assays like FluV19 simultaneous detection of pathogens, collaboration with regulatory bodies to attain accreditation, protocol development for safety, regulatory, and laboratory related procedures, as well as managing and performing complex laboratory experiments. As a technician and lab manager for the Shilatifard Lab at Northwestern’s Feinberg School of medicine, she oversaw a dynamic team of researchers, facilitated collaboration with industry and academic partners, and conducted independent research in molecular biology and next-generation sequencing.
Cassy earned her BS in Exercise Science from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and MS in Biochemistry from Bradley University. Outside of work, Cassy enjoys being outdoors, traveling, and spending time with her pets.
