MFNS Tech has developed a new material that offers a revolutionary oil spill removal solution. It can coat commercially available sponges, such as polyurethane and melamine, with a specially designed nanocomposite material that exhibits oleophilic, hydrophobic and magnetic properties. This technology offers a more efficient, economic, ecofriendly and reusable alternative than current approaches to oil spills, which include skimming, dispersants and in situ burning.
